Description

This is a prophetic episode. A prophecy is ragged and dirty... so the boys made it ragged and dirty.

In 1996, David Cronenberg showed audiences that a car crash is a fertilizing rather than a destructive event. After being bombarded endlessly by road safety propaganda, it is almost a relief to have John and Brandon podcast about perhaps one of the most degenerate pieces of cinema every put to celluloid.

Crash is a 1996 erotic thriller film written, produced and directed by David Cronenberg, based on J.G. Ballard’s 1973 novel by the same name.  Starring James Spader, Holly Hunter, Deborah Unger, Elias Koteas, and Rosanna Arquette, it follows a film producer who, after surviving a car crash, becomes involved with a group of symphorophiliacs (apparently a real thing) who are aroused by car crashes and tries to rekindle his sexual relationship with his wife.
