Welcome RPG Ramblings, a weekly show exploring various details of the TableTop RPG hobby through discussions with interesting people.
In the first segment, Mark Hunt and I discuss early gaming experiences with Champions and Twilight 2000. Then Mark shares the various ways one can approach running Gangbusters game, or really any game set in the 20’s. We dip into game design as Mark explains how he used existing B/X mechanics in different ways to meet the needs of the game’s genre. We also discuss his WW2 game, The Front Line, as well his Western RPG, Tall Tales.
We do a deep dive with Diogo Nogueira; an artist, writer, and game designer from Brasil. We discuss the mechanics behind his Post-Apocalypse fantasy game, Solar Blades and Cosmic Spells . We we also take a dive into the mechanics behind his Urban Fantasy game Dark Streets and Darker Secrets. Along the way Diogo reveals that living in Rio De Janerio, isn’t exactly paradise.
It is time to get rambling.
