“He was astonished when he got back. The monkey was cradling the baby in her lap like a mother. The rags she had been wrapped in were lying to the side. The baby wasn’t crying and had opened her eyes, soaking up the warmth of the monkey’s body. Seeing her master enter, Laccho quickly put the baby back in her rags and stepped back in fear.”
