Description

Kenneth Egan is a retired amateur boxer who represented Ireland at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, picking up a silver medal after a controversial defeat in the final.

Having achieved his childhood dream of representing his country in the Olympics, life took a turn for the worst. Feeling like he had reached a goal that he spent almost 20 years working towards - he was lost, and had no plan for what was next.

This sent him on a downward spiral for a couple of years battling alcohol addiction, before he eventually found support and made the commitment to turn his life around.

Now 13 years sober, Kenneth has qualified as a therapist and works with clients in helping them overcome challenges and difficulties in their lives. On top of that, he serves as a politician in his local area of Clondalkin, and shares his wisdom as a boxing coach - teaching classes and working with clients.

Big thank you to Kenneth for coming on, opening up, and sharing his story. He held nothing back, pulled no punches, and we know that you are going to get so much value from listening to this one!
