Coach emphasized the importance of researching the coaching philosophy of the program they are applying to, as the coaching style can vary greatly between different programs. Coach also stressed the importance of being true to oneself and being willing to learn. They highlighted the role of culture and relationships in coaching, arguing that coaching is about service rather than just winning games. Coach Hines also advised against chasing logos or prestige and emphasized the importance of balancing football with family life.
