Today’s episode is about Camouflaging or Masking and how it can be detrimental to your mental health.
There is a lot of research on those on the Autism Spectrum looking at the motivation to camouflage, the tools used, and how it is both successful and harmful. Our goal is to look at how we all camouflage in some way whether it be by coloring our hair, our personality or behavior, our gender, race, color, our illnesses and for some those who have cosmetic surgery. Our guest, Bryan Archilla, will talk about his firsthand experience with camouflaging and his late diagnosis with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
