Matthew Melvin is an author and activist from Massachusetts. He was diagnosed with autism while in high school which not only hindered his education and social interactions, it caused problems finding employment and the impulsivity led him to being incarcerated in the federal prison system in 2017 for nonviolentcrimes. While in prison, he was sexually assaulted by another inmate. His first book is entitled: Bullied Behind Bars: A Gay Christian Trump Supporter Goes to Prison. He currently resides in Shelburne, Vermont. and is planning to share his story and his healing journey with us.
