Grayson was born in Japan to two US Marines. he grew up in California and taught himself to play guitar. As a young teen he began writing songs to help him find my way out of the darkest places in life. He joined the Marines at 17 years old. He spent 3.5 years in combat overseas in 13 different countries. 20 years later, music helped him to exercise his strengths and demons.
