Sunday, March 1, 2020. In the Gospels, Jesus commands people to “take courage” when in fear or after demonstrating faith. After Paul has suffered in Jerusalem, Jesus stands by Paul at night and gives this same command in the only place recorded outside the Gospels — “take courage.” In this sermon, we learn that our Lord empowers us with courage by His Holy Spirit to persevere in God’s ways until God’s will is accomplished.
