Some musicians begin honing in on their craft from a very early age, and others surround themselves with the best and brightest to mentor them while exponentially shortening that learning curve. Daniel Sahad of Nané is the latter. Nané has catapulted themselves to KUTX’s Artist of the month for January 2021, Black Fret 2020 Nominee, and even opened for Austin’s own, Grammy Nominated, the Black Puma’s… while only together as a band for a year.
On today’s show, we have Daniel Sahad, an Austin, TX based artist, that is frontman for Nané, an edgy and lighthearted, fun and sentimental, strong while also being a giant teddy bear band… basically a mirror of Daniel Sahad. We talk about how we first met on the altar, (no really, we got fake married), how his family has influenced his creative pursuits and desire to succeed, and what he believes is the key to growing locally and beyond for Nane.
