The Parable of the Sower is the simplest parable, but the people who heard Jesus did not understand him because their categories, political and religious agendas, would not let them change their mind. Jesus came and redefined Kingdom to them, but they couldn’t accept it. To be in the covenant family, we must constantly go back to the Bible see what God says and inquire of the Lord if we’re getting things right rather than hang on to our culture or tribalism.
