As we continue in the Sermon on the Mount Jesus talks about generosity and then prayer. It is very fascinating that in his prayer to the Father he prays for the Father and what is no doubt heavy on the Father's heart. The second half of the prayer when the pronoun "you" is added it becomes a prayer of gratitude for what God is doing for us.
