Description

At the start of this week’s Holy Donors’ episode, we learn that, thankfully, Margaret returns from her overseas adventures to a healthy grandson. Margaret returns to the States after her voyage on the Titanic, and she continues with her life as a socialite and a philanthropist. She runs for public office (and loses!), she takes up acting, and she spends time with her family. Margaret passes away in 1932.

This episode has a fun quiz show section - fact vs. fiction! In this part of the podcast, our hosts remind us that Molly Brown is Margaret’s fictional double who was created to make better song lyrics and a more exciting story. So much of what we think we know about the real Margaret Brown often gets confused with what writers created for Molly Brown. Can you figure out which legends about Margaret Brown are fact and which are fiction?

This episode concludes with our hosts discussing whether or not they think Margaret Brown deserves the title of a holy donor. Listen to our hosts’ debate and come to your own conclusion! Is Margaret “Molly” Brown a holy donor?
