Description

Welcome to the Queen Be podcast, where we celebrate the stories of regional women and their incredible journeys. Today, we have the honor of speaking with Selena Uibo, a passionate advocate against Aboriginal disadvantage and a true queen in her own right. Selena, a proud Nunggubuyu woman, grew up in the small community of Bachelor, surrounded by the beauty of Litchfield National Park. Her parents, both educators, instilled in her a love for learning and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Selena's journey has taken her from teaching in her mother's community of Nagoya to becoming a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly. As a minister, she has faced numerous challenges, but her unwavering dedication to her constituents and her family has kept her grounded.
