In light of the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Marc and Gavin look back on the original Final Fantasy VII on PS1, a game they played in their teens and one that can be seen as the backdrop to an era of their lives. Later, they also quickly chat about the sequel CGI movie, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.
This episode mainly focuses on the central narrative arc between Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith and Jenova. This is a spoilercast that deep dives the central themes of the characters and story, so listener beware if you have not played the original game. Unless you are looking for a refresh that is.
