Through a discussion with members of our surrounding community, we learn about their experiences with black history, influential figures, and the value of black history in being part of the whole picture. This episode is part of a series related to Black History Month. Participants include Dr. Jay Marks (Oakland Schools Diversity & Equity Consultant), MiVida Burrus (Member of the Global Troy Advisory Council & TSD Grandparent), Keesha Garrett (TSD Parent with 20 years of Civil Rights Experience), and moderator Cornelius Godfrey (TSD Supervisor of Educational Equity, Inclusion, & Community Relationships).
