Description

In today's podcast, Eric Stauffer discusses a candid and personal account of how his family journeyed through self-worth challenges with his teenage daughter, we'll explore how the interplay of faith, medical intervention, therapy, and the unwavering support of their community guided his family to find their way through this experience. We’ll also discuss discerning where doctrine ends and negative cultural assumptions begin.

Sometimes, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints question their own self-worth and feel they can’t live up to real, or perceived, standards.

This may result in self-shaming, crippling cases of anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, scrupulosity and perfectionism- to name a few. Perhaps most tragic, these personal assessments and degradations tend to be in direct contrast to the actual doctrinal tenets of their faith.
