Description

In this episode, we will discuss the role of exercise in transformation, specifically the browning of adipose tissue. Our guest, Dr. Milena Shonke, PhD, a researcher at Leiden University in the Netherlands, will talk to us about metabolism and the results of her research. Dr. Shonke's research focuses on the role of lipoprotein metabolism in the effect of exercise, and its timing in relation to the circadian rhythm, on the development of cardiovascular diseases. Her aim is to further unravel the crosstalk between metabolically relevant tissues like skeletal muscle, different types of adipose tissue, and the liver, modulating whole-body metabolic homeostasis. I hope you enjoy the episode.
