In this episode, we will discuss the important role of nutrition in our immunity and health, how what we eat influences our response to disease, and what we can do to improve our defenses. Our guest today is Dr. Philip Calder, BSc(Hons), PhD, DPhil, RNutr, FRSB, FAfN. He is the Head of Human Development & Health and Professor of Nutritional Immunology at Southampton University in England. His research focuses on the nutritional modulation of immunity, inflammation, and cardiometabolic disease risk. Much of his work has been devoted to exploring the metabolism and functionality of fatty acids, with an emphasis on the roles of omega-3 fatty acids. Dr. Calder has over 700 scientific publications and is listed as a Highly Cited Researcher. He has also received several awards in related fields. Enjoy!
