With this episode, we take a break from our regular study on Heaven and Hell to begin a new segment called "Taking The Political Pulse".
In general, we do our best on Notes to keep our politics to ourselves, but as Carol Hanisch reminds us, "The Personal is Political" (Tiziana said Audre Lorde in the episode, she misspoke). In that vein, in this episode we take a look at a special program through the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (https://asapconnections.org/) that has lost its funding. Now, this was a program whose grant cycle ran out at the very end of last year but given the current political climate around Federal funding, this episode is designed to shed light on the types of programs that families like mine (and many of my friends) receive. Our hope is that moving forward we may all have a little more awareness around what the current administration's cuts regarding Federal funding actually look like in practice.
