About Stephen Friedman


Stephen is an award winning, Adjunct Professor of Organizational Studies at The Schulich School of Business, York University for over 20 years. His teaching and course development experience includes Graduate and Undergraduate, Organizational Behaviour, Team Development, Communication, Leadership, Problem Solving, Management, Strategy and Human Resource Management courses.


His workplace teaching and coaching in private practice and work at the Schulich Executive Education Centre, Schulich School of Business, draws on 1000's of stories from leaders’ and managers’ problems, decisions, and challenges. This has included teaching a variety of leaders and professionals including, medical professionals, finance executives, developers, government leaders and administrators, educators, engineers, publishers, retail executives, utilities, energy, packaged goods, health care, pharmaceutical, packaged goods as well as other businesses and not-for-profit leaders from across Canada and the US.


Broad experience in facilitating in person, virtually, hybrid, keynotes, and in professional conference proceedings has utilized his energetic, inclusive, respectful, and highly experiential approach to learning. His programs include sharing accessible tools, insightful and progressive concepts, and impactful new ways of thinking. His work is always focused on establishing achievable, practical, and realistic approaches and outcomes for students and clients.


He is also an active writer, with work appearing in several publications and platforms.
