Description

Georgia Porter is an accomplished road, trail, and ultra athlete who recently set the female Fastest Known Time on the Arizona Trail - covering the 817 miles and 113,537ft of elevation gain from Utah to Mexico in 16 days, 22 hours, and 6 minutes.

The adventure was life-changing.

In this episode, we uncover Georgia's origin story as a non-runner in a family of elite runners, to uncovering a talent for the marathon, a passion for trails, and ultimately a drive to uncover the truths that ultra-distance teaches.

We take a deep dive into the Arizona Trail FKT itself, and what it taught Georgia about re-orienting their relationship with pain in a physical, mental, and emotional sense; as well as the value of community, team, and the shared experience.

We also discuss what they have coming next, and how this long-trail adventure, and it's lessons, opened a door of possibility and potential.
