Welcome back to the 45th episode of the Thursday Meditations show!

This is the show that helps you overcome average, and step up above mediocrity.

Before we get to the show, here are a couple announcements:

During the month of June, we’ll be talking about getting jobs and careers on the Thursday Meditations show.

Today we are going to talk about 4 paths to start your career. The fourth path is the most common so we will spend less time on that one. I’ll try to give some action items for each path.

Find yourself in this camp, write down a few names of possible mentors you could reach out to and find a way to start that relationship. Remember, it doesn’t have to be as close as the Master-Apprentice relationship in Star Wars. Accept what comes to you and move forward.

Path of the Pioneer

This is the most common path for entrepreneurs. Here you assemble what info you can from others who have done something similar, making a sort of map, but then you embark into the wild unknown on your own. You set your own course, find your own landmarks and overcome your own obstacles.

That doesn’t mean you don’t rely on other experts. You just can’t follow someone else’s path because no one has done exactly what you want to do. You have a...
