After a meteoric rise with The Fame and The Fame Monster, Lady Gaga became known for her over-the-top persona, clothing, and performances. Her second (third?) album, Born This Way, would be no exception. In addition to experimenting with a wider variety of genres and instrumentation, the album's title track became an instant anthem for the LGBTQ community.
