The prophet Jonah had a mission to carry good news for salvation to the pagans in Nineveh. Like Jonah, Jesus took on that same mission for us. Unlike Jonah, Jesus was unflinchingly committed to the Father’s will. God the Father and God the Son have an unwavering commitment to save a people unto eternal life.
