Cecilia calls herself a recovering perfectionist and overachiever. She found herself checking off all the so called boxes in life and in doing so she fell into the perfectionist trap. Through university, the dream job, Mr. Right, the house with the white picket fence, the travels – you name it, she checked it off. Then, life threw her a curveball and at 36, she found herself widowed. This was not apart of her perfect plan.
That's when she learned that perfection is just a load of... well, you know. The promise was that if she did everything right, she would get the prize of a happy life. Turns out, life doesn't play by those rules. Grief taught her the hard way that perfection leads to disconnection – disconnection from herself and others. But here's the juicy part: connection, that messy, beautifully human experience, is the road to fulfillment. She claims that once we're authentically connected to ourselves, we can forge real, genuine connections with others.
