Description

The first word that comes to mind when I think of today's guest is brave. Liz LeClair is a fundraising professional who has spoken out about sexual harassment in the fundraising and non-profit sectors, at great personal cost to herself.

Welcome to Season Four, Episode 21 of Renegade Conversations!

In 2019, Liz published an op-ed with the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) about her experience being sexually harassed and assaulted by high-net worth donors.  This advocacy work has evolved to include advocating for a more just and equitable sector. She continues to advocate for safe workplaces for fundraisers and nonprofit employees and is a volunteer with the Can’t Buy My Silence Campaign to ban the misuse of non-disclosure agreement globally.

Liz is proud to call herself a fundraiser and a feminist.

Please join Liz and I (host Meryl Cook) for an insightful, heartfelt and enlightened renegade conversation.

RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:

Liz's favourite renegades are Dr. Julie Macfarlane and Zelda Perkins, co-founders in Can't buy my silence

Can't buy my silence, a global campaign committed to end the misuse of NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) to buy victim's silence.

Sexual harassment runs rampant in non-profits — and it's time for our #MeToo moment
