"Wanting to be someone else is a waste of who [U] are."  — Kurt Cobain

How we see ourselves shapes how we see the world. Often, how we see ourselves is based on how other people see us. But no one knows what goes on inside our head besides us... When we spend some time getting to know ourselves, when we practice living in the present moment, we become able to get out of our head. We become able to recognize negative and hurtful thoughts. We become able to allow those thoughts to come and go, and we are able to choose not to listen to them, not follow them, not believe them, not act on them, and we can consciously and with intention create new thoughts, positive thoughts, and thoughts that help us build the life we want...

This episode features a talk that holds true to the podcast's "Universal Consciousness" theme by spiritual educator and speaker, Todd Perelmuter, who helps people integrate mindfulness and wellness into their everyday lives while also building confidence and healthy self-esteem. In this talk, he explores how we can all become more aware and more in tune with our self-perception, the bigger picture of how that affects the world around us, and how we can shift our perspective -- if need be. ☯ (more at: www.toddperel.com)
