There was a flyer in the mail for Miss Texas, Miss Texas USA is what it was called. I convinced my dad into letting me do it. I had no experience at all. I didn't know how to walk in heels or be on stage and not be nervous or nothing and and he let me do it it was fun! I mean I absolutely had no clue of what I was doing, but it was fun meeting the girls and kind of a challenge, oh how am I not going to be nervous and how do I walk in these heels I'm just trying to pick up make up tricks and things like that it was. It was fun I got to be a girl finally you know. I never really had girly friends that showed me hair and make up and stuff like that so it's kind of fun to delve into that. I didn't want anything I didn't place but I just had interest in it and then my mom pointed out to me if there was a bikini contest at a local club and she's like you've been on stage in a swimsuit you might as well go and try to win this hundred bucks. So I'm like OK! That was a lot of money back then! So I did the bikini contests and won the contest and came to find out that it was a preliminary for the finals and then from there you go to the state finals for the Texas bikini team! At the time the Texas bikini team was the largest touring group a swimsuit models. We would tour around. We were like an attraction for these different shows and they would advertise us and we do commercials. It was so crazy to me! I had never even met a celebrity and soda be sort of a celebrity so it was weird.
