There was a lot going on in the country at that time. 1968 was a very turbulent period in our nation’s history. There was a social revolution. A demand for more freedom and rights for minority’s and women. The Vietnam war was going on. An anti-war movement. Marches, protests, riots, hippies, a sexual revolution. A questioning of authority and the government. And the assassinations of Dr Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert Kennedy.
