I learn so many strange things when I’m researching that make me want to write other things because you can just go down the rabbit hole for hours with so many strange facts about science, the weather, just all kinds of things. Social morays from 300 hundred years ago. Sometimes you think a character is going to do something and they don’t want to do it. They want to do something else. Often that’s a better and more organic thing than what you had in mind. I always have respect for the things that don’t work.
