I actually started stage managing because that paid better than acting. From stage managing it’s a logical step to go into directing. So I started directing theater. When I was directing theater I would have actors who would ask me for help, for some coaching when they’d have an audition so I started coaching that way and then one of those people booked a TV show and I just remember the rush I had was better than if I would have booked it myself. I can honestly say that. I just felt really, really, really, good. It occurred to me gradually over time, that was my niche.
