Older people are having real issues with doing self tapes and uploading them and all the technical stuff that you have to do and go through. It’s just not their thing. So that’s a big problem for them. I heard a lady stand up at a national Sag/Aftra board meeting. She was a guest. She was a working actress that you would know who she was. And she said, she’s leaving the industry because I just can’t do these self tapes. This was before the pandemic. A lot of auditions had already begun going that route. They ask you to do all these different kinds of shots and sometimes they will even say, and we want to use this footage as a part of the show. It’s not ok. Suddenly your expected to be a cameraman and a gaffer ya know and sound and everything.
