A dancer can work in so many mediums that an actor can’t. For a film or television actor you can do a play on Broadway or a tour or something, but if you sing and dance that opens a wealth of opportunities for you. I turned down cruise ships twice. You can dance on Broadway tours, you can dance in Vegas shows, you can dance in movies, TV, commercials. You can teach dance. There are so many avenues to teach dance to children. You can now even teach those classes at the gym. You can create your own content on TikTok, you get sponsorships. So, I do think dancers work a lot more than other industry people. I think more young dancers are able to support themselves by going from gig to gig rather than if you’re just a young actor out there.
