Some of the dancers who display their talents on TikTok are some of the most well paid dancers in the world. Some of these kids make 5 and 6 million dollars a year. There are so many ways for talent to promote themselves. I want to cut back to my generation. I remember there were self contained acts. I did Mitzi Gaynor’s act for example. I learned a lot about these artists when I worked with them. Did you know Mitzi Gaynor was responsible for creating the stars act? Nobody at that time in the 60’s was doing that. She created this thing, took her act to Vegas, and that started Ann Margaret and now we have Brittney Spears and those people. I do think rock musicians always toured, but shows such as Paula Abdul, Michael Jackson, Madonna, that concept came from the stars act. So what do I say to young people? They have so many resources. Your iPhone can create a commercial, a film. I say use your creative talents.
