We can't deny that God's grace is gifted to us all, we only need to receive it. However, when we receive God's gift, by FAITH, we make Him Lord of our life, and therefore, we should begin to grow in obedience to His Word.
It is FAITH that is our roots, and as we abide in Christ (the vine), we will spring forth with fruits that will point the world toward Him.
