Jeremiah 23:5-6 🎁 The Righteous Branch
I think about the lessons here and there are so many – I think every time I study about the desolation of Israel and how God allowed them to live in captivity and bondage, and without a king for so many years because of their disobedience, I think of how grateful I am for the grace of God to allow forgiveness of sin.
I cannot imagine not recognizing Jesus as my redeemer, my blood payment, the complete sacrifice for all the sin I have ever done, am doing now, or will do in the future. This completely blows my mind.
As we look forward to this Christmas, let us focus on the ultimate gift – let this be your Selah moment for today, to take time throughout your day and focus on this gift – the gift of a Savior the one to pay your debt that you could never even begin to pay in the first place, the gift of righteousness, that we can stand in the presence of God as if we have never sinned, because we have been sprinkled with the blood of the Lamb.
