This sermon kicks off a brand new series called "Adulting" all about growing up and maturing in your faith. The main idea is transitioning from just thinking about yourself all the time to living with God at the center of your life. The pastor lays out 5 signs that you're still stuck in immature, self-centered thinking like following your desires no matter what, thinking you can do whatever you want with no authority over you, and using people for your own gain. But then he contrasts that with 5 markers of God-centered maturity like loving God with your whole heart, living to bring glory to God, managing your resources in a way that honors God, submitting to God's authority over your life, and loving others selflessly. He gets super practical too, encouraging everyone to make weekly church attendance and serving others a regular part of their routine. The big takeaway is that putting God first instead of yourself is the key to real spiritual growth and healthy relationships.
