Camarie Roorda, a rural Iowa native, noticed that the western industry was lacking in providing opportunities for youth to develop skills, knowledge, and character outside of competing in rodeos. She wanted to create a platform that would allow youth to connect with peers, professionals, and resources to reach their goals. In 2019, she founded RodeoKids.com, a website aimed at empowering youth to be their best selves and carry on the traditions of western life.
