God Using Infertility for His Purpose:God puts children in our lives so that that child is born at the exact time they are supposed to be here to fulfill God’s purpose. Each of these children born to infertile parents played a huge role in our Christian story. I bookmarked each of these in my bible so that I could find them quickly in times of need. I hope this can help someone.1) Genesis 18: Sarah and Abraham took 25 years to conceive Isaac2) Genesis 25: Isaac and Rebekah were trying to conceive for an unknown amount of time but it is thought to be not that long to conceive Jacob and Esau. Isaac's prayers were answered quickly although his parent's prayers took decades to be answered.3) Genesis 30: Jacob and Rachel took 14 years to conceive Joseph who played a pivital role in Genesis4) Judges 13: Manoah and his wife finally conceived Samson who later defeated the Philistines for God's people.5) 1 Samuel 1: Elkanah and Hannah took 19 years to conceive Samuel. Hannah's prayer and faith is something to note and read.6) 2 Samuel 6: David and Michal (daughter of Saul) never conceived although Michal would have had all the money and resources available. Sometimes the answer is no no matter what.7) 2 Kings 4: Shunamite’s took a long time to have a son that died. Elisha, through God, raised that boy from the dead. God showed a miracle through her son that she prayed so hard for and then lost. Every baby is born at the exact moment in time that God needs them to be.8 ) Luke 1: Zechariah and Elizabeth- both over 60 years old and finally gave birth to John the Baptist . Elizabeth was happy when she saw that Mary was also pregnant. Trying to emulate her in her joy has helped me.
