Description

Dr. Alan Schwartz is a professor of the department of medical education at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He was Berkeley’s first cognitive science major where he focused on cognitive linguistics. He continued at Berkeley for graduate school, in the PhD program in cognitive psychology and, in the later years of that program, in the concurrent Master’s Degree in organizational behavior and industrial relations at the Haas School of Business. He was the editor and chief of the journal medical decision making and has authored the books making medical decisions a physicians guide and the book we are discussing today Listening for what matters avoiding contextual errors.
