Sometimes the government doesn't help bring justice, but helps prevent it. As crazy as this sounds, it's true. Because governments can protect potential murder suspects for personal or political gains—gains that hurt numerous grieving loved ones who just want closure. To understand what I mean, one does not need to look further than the case of Nancy Sonnenfeld.
