Tatiana was just a teenager when she and her sister moved to America about 45 years ago. They attended High School in Northern Michigan and moved to Minneapolis to continue their education at the University of Minnesota. Tatiana couldn’t decide to study in Design & Fashion or Electrical Engineering. Two completely different areas of studies. After weighing both options and her passion for both fields, she decided to follow her father’s path and move forward with engineering. After completing the first year of collage, she fell in love with the creativity and engineering mindset that it takes to program computers, she ended up studying Software Design and eventually writing software programs for large companies. Like most people, especially at a young age, she was living life and riding the ups and downs of life, she said “like a lost and abandoned tree log”.Today, she often jokes about the past by saying “I was just a clueless computer programmer ….”.She covered up her emotions, she said, by just staying physically active like dancing, exercising, and always putting on a big smile on her face like nothing was going on internally. It was, in late 2001 when a Yoga Teacher she met asked her “what is really hiding behind that big, beautiful smile?” and repeating that question several times, that it hit home and she finally woke up!Like many stories we all have heard, sometimes one “wakes up” when something drastic happens in life. And Tatiana had one of those in 2001. (Loss of her high paying job and the big one was the accidental death of fiance). This is when her life completely changed and she went from “programming computers to re-programming minds."
