While in the military I had a chance to go around the world and see many cultures
Here’s a fun fact, As of 1988 The Military was sexist as well as racist to a degree. The Job I performed there weren’t that many Blacks or Hispanics.
Why do I bring that up because even though I was in the military I still was subject to alienation as well as discrimination and yet I retired from active service.
Public Enemy had a lyric, I got a letter from the government the other day I open and read it and said they were suckers, they wanted me for their Army or what ever Picture me giving a damn I said never.
In which I did and so many after me did as well.
The question is often asked why I joined the military. Because I saw myself going down a dark path… It wasn’t a perfect fit but I made it work.
Now I say all of this because my podcast may appear slanted towards the black and brown community but it’s not. It’s just shining a light on what most of the world don’t or refuse to see.
So Statistically only 15 percent of the audience will listen to the podcast all the way through. Which means 85% will go find something else to catch their attention.
Hey Boys and girls here are some fun facts The young don’t care about the world they live in unless it affects them directly.
In which the analytics show that ages 35 to 65 male mostly will gravitate to my podcast…. Question is why.
People in general take their freedoms for granted until those freedoms are taken.
Black men and boys face the highest risk of being killed by police–at a rate of 96 out of 100,000 deaths. By comparison, white men and boys face a lower rate of 39 per 100,000 deaths, despite being a bigger portion of the U.S. population. Overall, men faced a rate of 52 per 100,000 deaths. According to PBS station KLRN
I guess if you are exposed to it daily and you believe it then hell dying while black should be something all black men look forward to.
Now I heard some facts about white privilege that just made me say damn and this is quoted by doctor Phil
When you are white you get a 40% longer Interview for a job than if you are of color. If you are of color people sit 24% further away from you during that interview.
Here’s the bottom line, most won’t listen to my podcast because it’s not cool and boring. Chris Rock said in one of his comedy special, if you want to hide your money put it in a book because N’s don’t read.
Barack Obama directly referred to the routine while campaigning to be elected president during a Father's Day speech on June 15, 2008, saying: "Chris Rock had a routine. He said some—too many of our men, they're proud, they brag about doing things they're supposed to do. They say 'Well, I—I'm not in jail.' Well, you're not supposed to be in jail!"
How many of our people brag they have a degree, ok how many say they have a high school diploma or do we just say hey I went back and got my Good Enough Degree.
