I would suspect that we are not truly happy with some aspects of our lives or ourselves. We are just trying to patch an internal or external fault or failure to make us feel better about who we are. But a patch is nothing more than a temporary relief from an inevitable truth. But we know that because we repeat the same insane cycle every year. So if we accomplish a small percentage of what we were trying to change we have now qualified our official pat on the back. In other words, a win is a win regardless how small or insignificant it may be, mission accomplished
Most corporate executives did not get to where they are by being a team players by being a good guy. No, they are ruthless and they understand upward mobility is not an option it’s a must. I call this the Crab theory. Crabs don’t give a fuck about other crabs in the bushel they just know I’m getting the fuck out. And when going down, meaning into the pot, they have no problems taking another crab or crab parts with them.
