Police in Crowley, La., had to apologize after using the siren from the horror franchise “The Purge” to signal a curfew during the city’s quarantine.
In order to stop the spread of coronavirus, the city has implemented a 9 p.m. curfew for residents, but many found the noise chosen for the siren eerily familiar. So they said Crowley police drove around the city’s Acadia Parish playing the noise to alert people to the nightly curfew, which lasts until 6 a.m. Jimmy Broussard, the city’s police chief, told KATC that he didn’t know the noise was from “The Purge” movies, and doesn’t plan to use any other type of siren in the future.
Yeah I call bullshit on that. Regardless, the police under his charge knew exactly what that meant and what anxiety that it would have caused. I did a podcast last October called the Purge could happen, you should go listen to that if you want my true thoughts but this isn’t about the actions the police, but it’s how potentially we are getting desensitized to what we see on TV possibly creating a new normal.
Purge Recap, The purge was an experiment to have black people kill blacks then to eliminate the low income, which subsequently came down to anyone can kill anyone can die. To the which was orchestrated by the elite people aka Rich People in their society.
Right now in our economic crisis the people who are truly ok are the upper class people…. People with money. You don’t hear about these people suffering, why because they have been taken care of through tax breaks that generally are made to keep the poor people struggling. I am not hating on the rich or people who have made very good financial decisions in their life. What I am saying there are the few who are elitist and do not care.
