Eddie takes Frauke through the coffee roasting process, including how to use your sense of smell to note the various stages. He also shares what key factors he looks for, and reveals what the most difficult part of the roasting process is. They discuss how the coffee culture has changed in California, in the U.S. more broadly, as well as around the world. And, most notably, Eddie shares his experience of losing his sense of smell from COVID and how that impacted his life and ability to do his job.
