In this podcast today I want to unveil one of God’s Promises to You. This promise is in Psalms 92 and verse 12. Psalms 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. This promise gives me excitement each time I read it. I ask myself, “Am I prospering like the scripture promised I would? God wants us to prosper in all areas. I have found myself content in one place or another, but God is so gentle and kind enough to give me a nudge to say there is more, saying if you seek Me you will find more. There must be a continual hunger for God and His Word in turn you will become like Him righteous. As we look at verse 12 in Psalms 92 we can see clearly what will happen in the life of the righteous. They shall prosper and grow! An example follows that promise. Flourishing and Growing are both what many seek today. Matthew 6:33 will fit well right here; But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you. The righteous have been instructed to seek God and His righteousness and things will be added to us. That is prosperity and growth. The palm tree and cedar of Lebanon are both strong trees. The palm tree is known for its life span it might outlive its owner. The palm may be the oldest living tree. They can live long in the desert because of their deep root system, they grow tall and many products are produced from them. God enables us the believers to flourish just like that stand tall and beautiful with many uses. As we communicate with others daily we get to find out what they seek many times it is not the Lord. We seek Him and His ways. He in turn prospers us. God does that by His strength. God is not in competition with us, God blesses us. We are His People and we can give Him praise for what He does in our life. Just like the palm tree you are beautiful and bring glory to our God. Your prosperity glorifies God. His Promises are yea and in Him Amen!, stand firm on them, and watch God bring it to pass.
