PROVERBS 3:5
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Description: This lesson is designed to remind you to TRUST IN THE LORD, and put your heart in believing God to do what He has promised in His Word. Do not lend unto thine own understanding. Throughout my life, I have heard the phrase “TRUST IN THE LORD.” Only to find out that many are not doing what the Word of God has requested them to do. It says, “Do not lean to thine own understanding. As we mature in God our trust is built, that is when we can stand strong and not lean on ourselves or others for answers. This podcast is a reminder to return your focus to God’s Word. This is Mary Whitby with a MARY L WHITBY TEACHING MOMENT. “IT WILL ONLY TAKE A MOMENT!”
In this podcast today I want to remind you of the loving, trustworthy God that we serve; He is dependable! A believer looks to God for peace, strength, contentment, and much more. All of this is made available through the scriptures. The Word of God is filled with testimonies of individuals who learned how to follow God’s Words that were told to them and they suffered dearly. Let us take this opportunity to ask ourselves, “ Am I leaning to myself or Am I leaning toward God’s Word? When you take the time to look closely at your life you can see exactly where you stand. Have you stopped trusting God and begun to look to yourself? I want to share scriptures with you that will encourage you to TRUST GOD. This is a great time to start believing God’s Words and speaking them over your life. David said in Psalms 25:1, “In You, LORD my God, I put my trust.” Look at this promise in Isaiah 26:3, this is a verse that I have learned to understand and believe. You (The Lord) will keep ( me ) in perfect peace those (my mind ) whose minds are steadfast because they(I)trust in You( Lord). We have to be stable and keep the same confession about God regardless of what it looks like or how we feel. Studying scripture, and reading them regularly will give us strength to build a closer relationship with God. The scriptures help us to know Him and what we can expect of Him. Then you will start to believe what He said and trust Him. To know Him is to TRUST HIM. Jeremiah 29:11 is a very popular verse of scripture used to remind us of what has been said about the people of God. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Everything concerning a man is covered in this passage. We must not forget God knows everything; and knows how to handle anything that shows up. John 3:16 in the Massage Bible gives us a good look at God and His love for us. This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.” (John 3:16, MSG). God has made the first move toward us to show His true love. You can trust him, To trust Him is to have faith in Him. He has proven His faithfulness and that we can trust Him. When you get to know the scriptures and promises of God the more you will desire to be a part of the Kingdom Works. Trust me God knows exactly what He is doing. Whatever that is going on in your life now turn that into the hands of the capable and mighty God. Release your faith and trust in Him. It will only take a moment.
