Chapter 1 Summary:
In the first chapter, titled The Mysterious Invitation, the story introduces the six main characters—Lily, Max, Emma, Jake, Mia, and Noah—as they go about their normal school day. Each of them receives a strange envelope in their locker, inviting them to meet at the old oak tree by the lake at midnight. Intrigued and excited, they decide to go together.
That night, the friends gather at the designated spot and find a glowing portal between the roots of the oak tree. They step into the portal and are transported to a grand hall, where they meet a cloaked figure who reveals that they have been chosen to become the Supercrew. The figure explains that each of them possesses unique powers and that their first mission is to stop a rogue group from using the stolen Crystal of Eternity to disrupt the world’s balance.
